Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed the recent story I posted-The Asset in the Canyon. I want to say thank you for following me on this journey as I continue to perfect this craft. I am delighted to announce that one of my short stories has been chosen for a Weird West anthology by Edge Weaver Books! This is a fantastic opportunity, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I've always been captivated by the Weird West genre, which merges Wild West elements with supernatural and fantastical themes. This is the genre in which I am writing my novel, and surprisingly, it is a genre that I have learned has its own publishers always looking for stories that captivate gunslingers fighting monsters.

Writing a short story that fits this unique style is both challenging and fulfilling because you have to fuse the tropes that make Westerns Westerns, the tropes of vampire and werewolf stories, and folklore rules about why a monster goes after people. It is fun and has allowed me to express creativity, like asking myself, "What if a man with lycanthropy worked as a sheriff during the day, going after cattle rustlers and attacking and eating people as a savage beast at night?"

When I received the acceptance email, I was overwhelmed with joy because I think being part of an anthology with other talented writers and seeing what ideas others bring to the genre is amazing. This has validated my efforts and has motivated me to keep pursuing my writing passion. I'm eager to see how my story will resonate with readers and add to the rich tapestry of the Weird West genre.

I will post an update once I have confirmation of the finished product and even put a link where y'all can go and buy the anthology from Edge Weaver Books.
