Hey everyone! Today's flash fiction comes to you from a very close friend of mine. These are some of her encounters from her time in school when she was working towards her medical technologist license. These are based on her experiences at this building and from hearing the professors talk about the haunted medical building at the University of Perpetual Help-Dalta. I hope you enjoy it!

"THMB I – Chemistry Lab"

I have been a professor at this university for almost twelve years. This institute was built in 1975, so eerie stories happening around the campus were quite common. I don't believe these tales because I've never experienced anything. My morning class would always start at 7:30 am and my usual routine was coming in as early as 6 am to check test papers and prepare pre-quizzes before class started.

One morning as I entered the chemistry lab room, I noticed a student sitting on the left corner table. Her head resting on her arms facing the wall, she looked like she was napping because there was still an hour and a half before our class started. I tried not to make any noise, so I wouldn't be able to disturb her, and went straight to my desk. After checking papers, I looked at the clock and it was almost 6:40 am. I looked at the student in the corner and saw her position never changed. I approached her halfway between my desk and the lab table and asked if she was okay or not feeling well. I didn't get a response at all and maybe she was tired from reviewing and in a deep sleep.

So, I went back to my desk to finish the rest of what I was doing. About thirty minutes remained before class started. I looked at the napping student and she was still situated like how I first saw her. Observing her from where I was sitting, I realized that she didn't have a bag with her or books lying on her table. I felt that something was not right, and I started feeling nervous. I took my cellphone from my bag that I placed under my desk and when I got up, I was stiffened in my seat for a moment. The student was sitting up straight, staring at me with a creepy evil smile and she never said a word. I didn't think twice and ran out of the lab room.

Approaching the stairs, I suddenly saw two of my students, asking me if I was okay because I looked pale. I didn't want to scare my students, so I just said that I was feeling lightheaded and needed to get water downstairs. One of my students offered me her bottled water so we all went back to the lab room. When we got there, the room was dead quiet, she was gone. Confused and still scared deep inside thinking about who it was or what it was. All I knew was that I never had her as a student in any of my classes. After that encounter, I never stayed alone in the chemistry lab room again.

"THMB II – Girl inside the cubicle"

My batchmates and I never experienced anything for three years after hearing those haunting stories going around the medical building. But I guess this time, it was different. During one of our 7-9 pm classes on the second floor of the said building, I needed to use the restroom minutes before our lecture class started. I asked a classmate of mine, Cassy, to accompany me. There were six cubicles in that restroom, and I used the fifth one from the entrance door. I heard Cassy turn on the faucet and she started humming. Then she asked me if I was almost done, and I said yes.

I came out of the cubicle, washed my hands, and she told me to hurry up. When we were about to go back to the classroom, she stopped me and said, "Can we wait here for a little while?" then I replied, "Why?" She then continued, "Jess come on, let's wait for a bit to see if there is another person who might come out of the restroom. There is a gap under the cubicle door, right? So, when I was done washing my hands, I looked in the mirror and saw of course your feet on the reflection and another set of feet in the third cubicle. We are wearing black shoes, but she was wearing white shoes, so I knew she was a nursing student."

Deep inside, I was feeling creeped out and told her that there was no way other students would occupy that restroom because the nursing students were using the fourth-floor lecture hall at that time. She then continued, "You started humming and so that's why I asked you if you were almost done because I already wanted to leave" I was shocked and said, "No way girl! I didn't hum, it was you. You were humming while you were washing your hands." We both got scared and ran towards our lecture room.

On our way back, we saw John, another classmate of ours, he was going to check what was taking so long for us to get to class. We then asked him a favor if he could go inside the ladies' restroom to check if somebody else was in there. He went inside and checked all the cubicles; it was all empty. After that restroom incident, we never talked about it again.

"THMB III – Bloody tears"

We were cramming for finals, we were too busy that we had already forgotten about that creepy encounter that happened to Cassy and me three weeks ago. We thought that was it, no more scary encounters.

During one of our night lecture classes. I noticed somebody passing by our lecture room. I could see that somebody was outside because the door had glass panels. For the third time I saw her pass by again, I was not sure if she was the same girl that kept passing by, all I knew was she was also an allied student because she was wearing a white uniform.

I started asking my seatmate, Sam, if there were nursing or pharmacy students in the building. She then told me, "Nurses already started their internship last week and Pharma's class is only until 7 pm."

It was already past 8 pm so it was only our class having a lecture during that time. I didn't say anything after that and just focused my attention back on our ongoing lecture. Suddenly, I felt like something, or someone was trying to tell me to look again at the door, I hesitated because I could already feel chills down my spine. I turned my gaze at the door, I was startled by what I saw and dropped the pen I was holding. I was already screaming in my head, but nothing was coming out of my mouth, I was really scared that time that I just started crying. Sam picked up my pen and asked me what was wrong. Words finally came out of my mouth, and I pointed to the door; "Sam! Don't you see her?! Look! She's staring at me!".

Sam stood up to check outside, "Who? Jessa, there's no one standing there nor are there any students walking in the hallway." The professor approached me trying to calm me down and asked me what was going on. I could not contain myself from crying and started telling everybody what I saw; "After Sam told me that there were no other students in this building apart from us. I then looked at the door again... there she was standing by the glass window of the door. She looked pale and her eyes were all white with bloody tears running down her cheeks. She was trying to tell me something, but I couldn't read her pale lips."

"Can we just go home now?" I said. "I don't want to stay here anymore." We all packed up and left the building. After that night, our professor decided to move the last four lecture classes to an earlier time.
